Players take on the role of Dr. Zeus Chaplin who has been studying the Jenguu artefact for many years. Dr. Zeus Chaplin must travel through the jungles of the Amazon to uncover the mysterious artefact Jenguu. Players must travel through 8 different Ruins and must complete various tasks for villagers and locales in exchange for information about Jenguu. Players will travel into different areas of the flourishing Amazon such as mysterious caves, ancient tombs, lush forests and a large riverbeds. Jenguu incorporates a deep and compelling storyline that differentiates itself from most games in its genre.
